not sure if this is the correct place to ask, or if should be in "cpanel"

How do I add a full domain to my account? Is that the same as parked domain?

My account (mpvisual.com) does not let me add a parked domain, but I saw that I was allowed a bunch of domains (10?) when I signed up, which is the reason for getting that plan.

You should add new domains to your account in Addon domains sections.

Just fulfill form and set a folder name for this domain and password for ftp account.
Also this domain will be available as foldername.maindomain.com

To upload files for this domain use a compound ftp login name, for example
username@maindomain.com

I thought that addons were "subdomains", so if someone types www.addeddomain.com, it shows addeddomain.maindomain.com in the address bar.
