We have a problem with virtualfs filesystem on server8. Probably it was a hack attempt. Now we are investigating it.

Outage may have begun as early as : 03:00 AM EST 31-Dec-03
10 hours as of 01:00 PM EST 31-Dec-03

I was using my domain until around 3:30 am EST, FYI. I'm on this server and affected by this outage too (obviously).

My domain is also down http://visualblurr.net by referring to server 8 you mean ns8.hostony.com ??, anyway the time stands with me that is the same time my server went down also. I really need some feedback on this I want to know if my files are still there.

Can we get an update on this? I didn't want to open a support ticket for a problem you're already aware of (and probably have a million support tix already).
