so far Hostony looks like a good hosting provider option.

The only thing that I cannot see listed is:

1. IMAP access to mailboxes.
2. Either POP3 through SSL or IMAP through SSL.

Is this included? Is this an "extra" option?

Yes you can access your mailboxes via IMAP.

2. Either POP3 through SSL or IMAP through SSL.
You can connect to pop3 using SSL encription on dedicated POP3 995 port as well SMTP over SSL using 465 port

Is this included? Is this an "extra" option?
It is default setup of all servers and avaliable for all linux plans.
