Full Version: connecting to mySQL through Dreamweaver

I'm hoping someone here has an easy answer for me. I usually deal with all my SQL stuff directly through CPanel, but I am trying to set up Dreamweaver to do some live development work with PHP/MySQL and am having trouble connecting to the new database I've created.

To connect to the mySQL server, I'm trying to use the ip address for my site. Is the MySQL server located at a different address? Basically I'm getting denied when trying to connect to the db through Dreamweaver, although I believe that I've set up db username/access properly, and have added the ip of my local machine as an additional host.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Joaquim
