Full Version: DNS Error?
Hostony Board > General Support > General Support
CPOStudios
I bought a URL elsewhere and I am trying to setup the DNS to point to Hostony. I did this a while ago (on another different site) and was told to put this in by a user here and it worked back then (I don't remember if this is exactly what I did, but I know that's what a user told me and in the thread I never questioned it or had further trouble):

dns.hostony.com
dns.hostony.com

(Twice)

I'm using Hostony's Linux plan and when I put that in to the Nameserver fields over at the registrar's site, an error shows up and a support guy told me there should be two different nameservers. What Nameserver would be proper to put into the two required fields? My hostony site is being hosted at http://cpostudios.com with the addon at http://earlydeparture.cpostudios.com (domain I want to point there is http://earlydeparture.com ).

I appreciate the help in advance.

-Conor

EDIT:

The two current fields I have in are dns.hostony.com and dns.hostony.org and it doesn't work (I just put something different temporarily.)

Hello,
you should put the following name servers:

dns.hostony.com
dns.hostony.org
