I note that my shared server is running PHP 4.4.3 . There are a number of php apps that are requiring PHP 5. Are there plans to upgrade in the near future?
MarkM
All of the shared servers I've used from HOSTONY have had both 4.x.x and 5. Ask support to install 5 and I'm sure they will.

in linux servers you can use php 5 for scripts changing the extension of the filenames of your scripts to .php5,
or you can tell apache to run all .php scripts of a directory with php5 creating a .htaccess file with the following sentence:

CODE
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php

for windows servers, ask suport and they will set php5 compiler for your domain.

Hello,
please let us know your domain or IP of the server your account is on. We'll install it, if it's missing.

I used this, but now, every time I try to visit a php page, my computer tries to download it, rather than opening it in the browser window.

Any suggestions?
