I am letting somebody do some work for me regarding being able to accept transactions on one of my sub-domains. He needs to be able to access secure point for pages using https:// can we do this?
Is it something that we can set up from C/Panel if so does anybody know where/how?

regards
Sean

You need to create the https ability on your account. We do it all the time. Check it out:

1) Purchase an SSL Certificate (GoDaddy has 'em for cheap)
2) Have HOSTONY install it!

Simple. I hope they can do it for you. I've never asked them if they offer this service.

just adding some info:

You will need to buy a dedicated ip from hostony for this domain if you want to add an ssl cert, and if you want a self-signed cert hostony can create one for you for free (but better than that, buy a cert of a trusted authority, hostony sell ssl certs too, from geotrust I think, very known and trusted.)

I forgot to mention that one, although no damage would have been done. Thank you for the help. rolleyes.gif
