Hi, I am the webmaster from www.sheffieldbase.com

A few month ago we found that the user can't access to the website sometimes. We found that when we can't open the pages, the IP which got is 67.15.111.2 ; and when it works the IP got is 65.98.8.5 . I think the second one is the right IP to web server. This problem happens a few times per day, sometimes when I got 67.15.111.2, but my friend got the right one 65.98.8.5 on another computer at the sametime. We have contacted the web server, was told we need to speak to DNS server side. So please fix this problem for us. thank you.

btw, that is what we got by ping:

Excuse me sir, could you please tell me more details about it? How can I change my DNS to dns.hostony.com and dns.hostony.org? Thank you.

You will want to log into the control panel for your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Network Solutions, etc.) and change the nameservers.

If you don't know what nameservers are, make sure to call their tech. support line or email them.

Thank you.

But when we posted the same topic on the domain registrar forum, the answer is

"You need to contact the people at hostony.net/hostony.com. The DNS is not set up correctly for your domain (specifically, one of the two DNS servers that is listed is not authoritative for your domain). They should be able to fix the problem."

I think we are getting back to a circle. Please plaese give us a help. Thank you.

Please contact your domain name registar and ask them to change the DNS for your domain to the provided ones.

Not HOSTONY.net or .com!!!

dns.hostony.com and
dns.hostony.org

You must have given them the wrong ones.

That's why "one of them is wrong" because its not .net but .org.
