Can we set up a service on a shared hosting account to synchronize (and revision control) files? I don't think I can do subversion because my apache server here is not 2.0. (But I would prefer subversion if I can have it.)

If not, how about setting up CVS (with a pserver daemon? Or other?), or an rsync server?

In my case, I wouldn't be synchonizing much, or often, so I wouldn't except much cpu or bandwidth drain.

As I know, you can't run daemons, services, or non-standard processes from your shared accoun, it violate the AUP.
