Full Version: hostony's smtp doesnt work

ok so here we go again, hostony's smtp doesnt work (as usual) so ive been using my isps smtp just like support suggests, but i recently figured out that using a different smtp and domain name, makes the messages appear as junk mail for most filters, so what can we do now???
Please dont tell me to check if port 25 is blocked, if my local config its ok, etc, etc.
I need a real solution.

First of all, you can't demand respect and results. You need to be patient with Hostony staff. They are trying their best.

Who is your ISP? SBC?

And what mail client are you using? Outlook?


I ask because SBC DSL does block the mail port, so you must replace the SMTP from yourdomain.com and switch it to: smtp.sbcglobal.net

I go through this with atleast 5 of my customers a day... cool.gif
