What do I need to add streaming video to my website, www.capecomputerman.com

Thanks
MartinB
I think you can use flash streaming
here you have some urls:
http://klaus.geekserver.net/flash/streaming.html
http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ho...bjects/Stream1/

maybe it can help.

Hmmm.... Here's a related question... Is streaming the content better than just having it downloadable? I have some wmv/mpeg videos on my site but they are all downloadable.

Personally, if i want to see a video, i prefer ALWAYS the download option. then i can see it fine if i have a slow connection, or if i have not a connection, etc.

But if you want to obligate the visitors to visit the site, it's recommendable to don't offer a download wink.gif

I concur, especially since streaming WMV does not work for me 99% of the time (using Firefox OR IE on Windows XP.)

If I understand your question correctly, a good option for you, is to just input the video (via HTML) on the page, and have a link directly to the source:

Example:

- VIDEO DISPLAY -

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THIS FILE <-- Links straight to the file (http://yourdomain.com/videos/1.wmv)
