I dont think client.php ( or service.php,contact.php ) are part of the smarty package.

Like I said before its PHP-CGI...
There are a FEW VERY MINOR drawbacks to running PHP-CGI. They are:
* The $_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'] variable will return the php.cgi binary rather than the name of your script

Looks like a path issue to me...
the files could be *missing* like you say
but if it was working before its more likely that php,smarty
is looking in the wrong place....
