greetings.
Dima
Dear Martin, we are not running a full server backup. The server is not overloaded, everything seems to be in order.

Hello mblendinger,

QUOTE
root@server20 [~]# uptime
21:28:44  up 37 days,  1:48,  2 users,  load average: 2.64, 3.05, 3.35

It's good uptime.

Server Load Explination
The load average tries to measure the number of active processes at any time. As a measure of CPU utilization, the load average is simplistic, poorly defined, but far from useless. High load averages usually mean that the system is being used heavily and the response time is correspondingly slow. What is high? ...
Ideally, you'd like a load average under, say, 3, ... Ultimately, 'high' means high enough so that you don't need uptime to tell you that the system is overloaded.

Thanks for your explanation, Alexandre, you are always so glad to help.

I just see than the server was very slow for a time, I enter to shell, run top, and i see cpu usage a lot more than normal. (a lot of 20% values, instead of the common 1% or 2%)

Thanks again for your attention.

(and yes, the uptime is acceptable wink.gif)

1% or 2% mean that server is dead wink.gif

CPU usage should be at least 8-10%.
