I was simply wondering if it is possible to allow users to log into the IMAP mail server with a secure connection using, say MS Outlook? I noticed that webmail allows a secure connection, for example.

It is just that with my users roaming all over the world, having open passwords sent across unsecure networks is very undesireable.

yes I'm using it with IMAP,POP, and SMTP with secure connection from Evolution and Eudora. (obviously it may work too in Outlook.)
(I have a Linux package.)
