Yo. I was just woundering what a subdomain is. I think that it is a part of the site that you can rent out and people pay you monthly to have there own site on yours if you know what I mean? So like say my site was www.jackmiller.com and then someone wanted a domain on my site would it be www.jackmiller.com/billgates (just an example). Also will i be able to make money off my subdomains by renting them out to other people?

not exactly.
subdomains are websites under your main domain.
like... billgates.jackmiller.com, shop.jackmiller.com, etc...

It would be difficult to sell them as they all share the same CPanel.

Thanks for that. How do i sell webspace to people then? I thought it was the subdomains that you rent out and make money from them.

you would need a reseller account in order to do that, but i cant see how somebody who doesnt even know what a subdomain is, would be a reseller
