Hello!

My site www.ePhotoHunt.com - I think Im on the server 27.

I have set cronjob to run the script cronjob.php everyday at 6am. The script cronjob.php will send me email log each time it is run. But I haven't receive the email log from cronjob.php script for a week.

Please check your server and correct the cron job.

Thanks!
Jim

ephotohunt, please tell me the exact command line that you use for running the script.

It should be /usr/local/bin/php home/yoursername/public.html/file.php

OR: /usr/bin/php home/yoursername/public.html/file.php

Hi!

I used CPanel to set cronjob.

Let me give you more info:

- My main account (ephotohu) is pointed to www.ephotohunt.com domain

- I login to Cpanel via this URL ephotohunt.com/cpanel

- I hosted the second domain ecardmax.com on ephotohunt account

- I used CPanel to create the cron job to run the script on ecardmax.com

- After logged in to CPanel, I clicked the link Cron Job to go to next page then I clicked button Addvanced (Unix Style)

- Here is my setting:

Minute: 6
Hour: 6
Day: *
Month: *
Weekday: *
Command: Get http://www.ecardmax.com/greetings/cronjob.php > /dev/null

Not sure the command is right. I will try your command to see what happen then let you know later.

You wrote

CODE
/usr/local/bin/php home/yoursername/public.html/file.php

yoursername is Your Server Name or Your User Name ? confuse

And if that is "Your Server Name" then I'm on the server 27 , what is my server name ?

and one more thing php home or php_home ?

Regards!
Jim
Slavik
1.Put your domain as the server name.
2.php home

ephotohunt: Its actually two things that you are entering; first is the path to php

/usr/local/bin/php

the second is the path or uri to the file you wish to run

home/yoursername/public_html/file.php

Combine these two and put them in the command prompt as Lehrer and Slavik have stated.

I hope that clears things up a little. I have a few cron jobs that run, so if you need more help just ask smile.gif

i believe he means it like this:

/usr/local/bin/php home/ecardmax/public.html/greetings/cronjob.php

It should be wink.gif
/usr/local/bin/php /home/ecardmax/public.html/greetings/cronjob.php > /dev/null
