Full Version: Server25 Currently Offline (AGAIN) (AGAIN)

I'll just recycle old topics.. this is getting very old... I refused to post here for a few weeks after the last support moron's response, but I've really had it here...

Support is offline on the instant messangers, chat is offline. Submitted a ticket, who knows when that will get a reply.

Server25 is down again.

Responds to pings, all other services refuse connections.
Slavik
Hello.
We do not ignore the trouble tickets.
we are working on the problem at the moment.

Best regards,
Slavik Koshelev

30min downtime so far...

Still no support online via AOL, ICQ, forums here, or "live support"

All services still down.
JasonJones
Nobody said you were ignoring the trouble tickets, just that NO support is visible online, and the server is not allowing connections.
JasonJones
I'd also like to add, that how can anyone have faith in a support staff that cant manage their own Avatar on their own forums? Why are a lot of the support staff's avatars broken? I think that pretty much sums up a lot of the quality of service issues here....

Just somthing to think about.
Slavik
The server is up and running.
Believe me we are doing our best in order to prevent the downtime.

Best regards,
Slavik koshelev

Jason, I don't really think you have the right to call our staff members or anyone here like that. Please do NOT do this again, or we'll have to ban your posts here for some time. I really hope you understand what I am asking for. Let's just treat one another as peers and have some respect and patience, OK?
And the second thing I wanted to say: CHAT is offline because we have refused form the old software and are testing several other programs as a substitute.

Jason, all the avatars of our staff members are showing up. But in case you mean they are all the same, that's another pair of shoes.

"CENSORED BY HOSTONY STAFF"
-------------------------------------------------------------------
But I will refrain from referring to the staff at hostony as morons on these forums in the future even without hostony doing their job in keeping the servers stable, support prompt, etc...

Thank you SO much for your explantion to what was wrong with the server.
Slavik
You are ALWAYS welcome.
Glide
I don't see any avatar images from the staff either.
Lehrer
I can send you a screenshot if you wish.

Naaa...just an operational server would be fine.

Is that one possible?

The avatars are showing up okay for me.

Maybe there's a failed connection somewhere?

Great!

With that security there's no wonder hackers got into Hostony and took a nice little chunk out of your customer's profits from the resulting downtime.

Hi Jason...I've already started to look for another hosting co.
I had it with lack of support here.
Half the time 3/4's of questions go unanswered,
its like talking to someone with Alzheimer's...

This company is plagued continially with server problems.
It seems with the money they are making according to
a friend at 2co.com, they make damn sure this cash cow
biz would be run smoothly.

I think they need to outsource tech support to Canada.

did you see the fiasco of my post here:
http://forum.hostony.com/index.php?showtopic=3822

I had a client threatin to sue because they lost a bid because,
their site was down...but hostony support keeps stating to use 'their'
http://www.anonymization.org to access my websites....

yet no one was able to access them any other way.
Frontpage and smartftp couldn't either,

and support would ignore
this and anthying else i said in trouble ticket and just keep repeating
use this link site works....
http://www.anonymization.org/-ASAPPROS.COM

I dont want touchy feely support people, I want results.
If they get offended, too bad. Its their job to handle problems,
cause we are paying for our service....and if hostony wants to keep
running this place as bad as they are they will be the losers.

I use to bend over backwards to be nice, not no more.
After 16 hrs of NO response to my last 2 posts at help desk. I posted on this forum
http://forum.hostony.com/index.php?showtopic=3822
and contacted 2co.com and wouldn't you know all my clients all of a sudden
can access their websites.

If you find another host plz post, cause I'm leaving here in 30 days.
Unless I'm made an offer I can't refuse.....lol
McMurtrey
guess i sould of not posted...all my sites are down again .lol
ns19 & ns18. this is enough to drive me insane

This can happen to anyone... blink.gif

I canNOT see any of the avatars for Hostony staff.
I do see them for everyone else, includng my own.
Hostony - something is not right!
MartinB
Press F5(or ctrl-R) for reload the page without using the browser cache...
jchrastina
Martin - This has nothing to do with cache ([F5] or [Ctrl-R])
The Hostony avatars only come up with a little red X.
I have pcAnywhere access to many PC's around the world through my global Corporate network.
I get the same exact results whether I use DSL, cable, ISDN or 56k dial-up from different ISP's.
I have tried from Pennsylvania (four locations), Ohio, North Carolina, and California (two locations).
I have tried from Ireland, England, Italy, Singapore and Shanghai.
No avatars!!
What else can I say?
MartinB
Hum, so, surely i have the avatars in MY cache! blink.gif

My cache save my life! now i can see the support avatars!! rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif
carahost
mblendinger: try Ctrl + F5 (refresh without cache) and you wont see their avatars
Glide
I totally agree with Carahost.

The only avatar I see for any of the staff is a little red "x".
jchrastina
Hostony - The staff avatar should be at http://www.hostony.com/bn/staff.gif
Is there really such a file there?
ojenni
no there is no such file. I do not see an avatar either and if I enter the url I get an 404 error...
