Hi,

I have a account windows and I like to know the attachement size that I can send in my mail box (1,4,5 meg) ?
Also the size of the mail box ? Is it the size of my hosting ? Can I restrict it ?

Thanks
Alec
The max size of attachment is 8 Meg.

Email quota is limited by your total account disk quota only. We can customize mail quota for certain account, but you can't do it from control panel. If you need it please open a trouble ticket and provide all necessary info.

A 5.6M attachment encoded for mail could be about 8M.

MIME and uuencoding will always increase the file size sent.

Honestly email wasnt designed for large attachments.
When I have something big to send I put it a temp folder
on my web site and send the reciepient a link to my web page
like:

http://www.example.com/BIGATTACHMENT/filename.zip

Also this way you can easily transfer large files
without worring about their mailserver stripping EXEs, DLLs....

Hope this helps

Hi,
thanks I get what to do but the question is almost for know what I can do. smile.gif But does someone know with in my webmail is write qutota 10 meg ?

When you create a new email account your mailbox quota is 10 meg by default.
In this case you can change quota for each mailbox in your control panel.

1. Click "Mail" on your Cpanel
2. Click "Add/Remove Accounts"
3. Choose mailbox which you want to change quota for.
4. Click "change quota".

Hi,
Well I'm on windows so I use HELM instead of cpeanel.
Thanks
Alec
Unfortunately you can't change quota for an email account on windows server (from Helm). If you need it, please open a new trouble ticket about the problem.
