Just wondering if it was possible to use Plone, http://plone.org with hostony. It requires python and the zope engine to run, but is supposed to be an amazingly powerful cms.

Please tell me URL to the zope engine site.
I'll look what is it and if it is acceptable for us we will install it. Also we have Python already installed.

I have also thought about using Plone. Will Plone work on the hostony servers? It looks like a cool CMS.

zope is needed to run plone. I have no problem getting on the site.

Zope is fun, I've played with it in the past. I think the problem here would be that Zope would need to be running on the server, thus causing more load. So I dont think you'll get it installed. I do remember Zope being able to be used as a Cgi way back, but again, that caused a lot of system load. Now, if you were running a VPS or Dedicated server, you could run it w/o a problem I'm sure...
