Full Version: Spamcop blocking my outgoing mails!!!

For the last 3 days, I have not been able to send email from either my work email or secondary email because spamcop is blocking my outgoing email (celticwarlordz.com and hollowayandsullivan.com) ! I get this error message:

host mailserver.algx.net [67.92.168.20]: 530 5.7.1 Blocked:
See <URL:http://spamcop.net/bl.shtml?67.15.36.4>:

I have provided you with the URL for sorting this and as an Administrator, it seems clear that it is something that can quickly be resolved. But nothing. It appears that after 5 days, they release the block, so unless you act to do something, I will, by default be able to send emails starting Saturday. This is unacceptable. I run a business and rely on being able to send emails to my clients!

If someone is using the email server to Spam, remove their account/access and sort the issue with SpamCop.

We have already contacted SpamCop about this misunderstanding.
At the moment we're waiting for their reply.

Looks like the spam email was sent from a compromised install of a php nuke site..

http://hodgey.net was the offending site it was sent from.

Its doubtful that the person responsible for hodgey.net is the spammer, but his php-nuke's webmail was used to send it...

Person responsible for hodgey.net:
Lee Hodges kahiwahi@gmail.comt
Aim: Kahiwahi
In Missouri

Might need to get ahold of this person and force them to update their code so that the server is not the target of spammers any longer...

How did http://hodgey.net affect mails from OTHER senders (celticwarlordz.com and hollowayandsullivan.com)?

because other domans use the same IP.
On shared hosting all it takes is one rouge
domain to ruin it for everyone.
