So here I go to phpmyadmin to change the permissions a specific user(s) have in mysql. And I look @ the drop down list of databases.... the mysql DB isn't there... hrmm... its on my computer @ home (powerbook)....
And I look for the Privileges link on the front page..... its missing... :Databases, Export, Logout
Looking @ my local installation, Privileges is right above database.... hrmm...
I could've swore it was there on hostony's computers before, but maybe I'm losing my mind....
what gives, this makes it awfully tough to edit a user in mysql... ok, it makes it impossible unless I'm missing something @ the phpmyadmin and/or cpanel I'm looking @.

Nothing was ever changed at our phpMyAdmin configuration.
Btw, what phpMyAdmin version is installed on your PC?

I run more than 1 version in separate folders for comparison's sake... 2.5.6, which is for my mirror of depewwildcats.com (same version as on hostony.com), and 2.6pl1. Both provide Privileges section.
btw, did you guys know the "Email notification of replies" isn't working? You don't get sent the emails.

Uhh.. yeah, but you're both missing the operative and important question: Where in the heck is the privileges section so we can edit/remove/add users (Yeah, I know, you can add a user in Cpanel, already knew that. It doesn't give you the same granularity for editng table permissions and such. )
The question(s) stands:
(1) Where is the privileges section in phpmyadmin?
(2) It needs to be back, when can this be accomplished?

You can find here
http://www.reg.ca/faq/PhpMyAdminTutorial.html a good phpMyAdmin tutorial.

Oh my gawd, you got to be kidding me. This is starting to tick me off. I don't need a phpmyadmin tutorial, its a rather simple program. You're not reading:
THERE IS NO PLACE TO EDIT THE USERS!!!!! The functionatility is removed, restricted, gone, non-existant, missing, etc.... take a look @ the interface, the Privileges link is not there, and therefore you can not access that functionality.
Lets work the problem folks, this isn't that challenging.

You can set privileges when you create some musql user via cpanel:
cpanel -> MySQL -> create mysql user.

Really, I didn't know that.... cause that's not what I said in a previous post:

Once again >>>>>>>>>>>>>EDIT A USER <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Change, alter, update privileges.
