Full Version: Server 21 Problems Again
Hostony Board > General Support > General Support
Henry
Exim failed. Server running like a dog (a dead dog that is).
newearth
A week ago I asked you to look at Server 21.

The pattern: Server load goes up, sometimes above 25
Memory use above 35
Exim crashes

I have seen this happen 3 times in an hour.

Last week you said you were monitoring this, but it continues
to get worse.

Please let us know what is being done about this.

Even my own small email programs are crashing now.
Henry
I see Exim is still down. So we're counting in hours now.
sfworks
cpanel is loading very slow and the cpu load keeps jumping way up.
Serge
Now server 21 is running quota regeneration program so HDD usage is rather high causing sometimes memory or CPU to top up. The process is monitored by admin and everything should be back to normal once it will be finished.
newearth
'Back to Normal' is just the problem we are all asking about.

Please address the question of

Server load peaking followed by exim failure.

It is happening again right now.
Alexandre
Please check it now.
Exim is up.
newearth
Thank you for yet another non-answer.

What I will check now is another web host.
Henry
newearth - I'm with you on that one. Unfortunately Hostony don't seem to understand that continually overloading their servers as they do is just false economy because it loses customers. The arrogant non-answers from the support team just exacerbate the situation. I've persevered for six months, although only because I only keep a few sites here, but the continual down-time is costing me too much cash. I don't really know why I bothered for so long.....I'm outta here.
