There is no application on our server for this port.
So why should chat open it?

What is BRIBBLE?

Bribble is a platform that consists of several tools to provide your website with chat-sessions. The BRIBBLE-tools are:

the BRIBBLE-server that runs on a web-server
the BRIBBLE-chatbox which is opened by a user and is used to connect to the server.
a web-based backend to configure the bribble-server and monitor the chatboxes running on your server.


3. start server:
type [java -jar -server bribble.jar]
after a few seconds you see: BRIBBLEserver is running
ctrl-c to exit and stop server
no errors? server is running ok and is configured ok.


I assume the java prog runs on the server night and day huh?
looking for people to join on some port you defined....

Unfortunately, you can't run such application on shared server indeed. You need virtual dedicated or dedic. server for it.

Er, I was referring to "ipb chat mod"

Would I be able to use that on the server I am on?

Meaning "Invision Power Board Chat Modification"
