Hi,
my ip address was added to the firewall rules so i can connect remotely to MySql also i added my ip to the Access Hosts in mysql databases of control panel. but when i try to connect to MySql using Dreamweaver MX 2004 it gave me Error Code 404 file not found, also it said some possible reasons for the problem are:
"1- there is no testing server running on the server machine
2- the testing server specifid for this site dose not map to the http://www.MyDomain.com/_mmserverScripts/MMHTTPDB.php URL (or http://www.MyDomain.com/MyUserName/_mmserv...s/MMHTTPDB.php). Verify that the URL Prefix maps to the root of the site".

also when i try it with my other domain name i have it give me:
"Access Denied. the file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem" even though im sure of the username, password and dbName were right.

i have no problem accessing my site using Dreamweaver by FTP

the Dreamweaver sittings i used:

Please check did you add your ip address in 'Allowed hosts' of your control panel (MySQL databases section)
jubjjub
first i go to my Cpanel then i click on "MySQL Databases" to open the MySQL Account Maintenance page on the bottom of this page there is
"Access Hosts:
Host (% wildcard is allowed): here where i enterd my ip
then i click on add host.

if this is the right way then yes, i did add my ip address in allowed hosts sections and still not working sad.gif .

thanks for checking smile.gif .

its not fixed yet but still working on it, thanks.

also i wanna know, is it ok to use my domain name (like: mycomputer.mydomain.com) which is pointing to my computer's ip to add to your firewall? so i dont have to bother you guys and i just change the DNS of my own sub-domain to point to my new ip any time i change the computer or try to login to MySQL from any other location.

thanks again.
Alec
Unfortunately it is impossible.

Please notify us all your possible ip addresses and we'll add them to our firewall
