If the problem is with a particular message, make sure to include Full Message Headers with your trouble ticket. Copying the email is nowhere near good enough.
Full message headers give the support technician a detailed path of the history of the message. With a little knowledge, this can aid the troubleshooting process immensely.
To obtain full message headers with Horde:
- Locate the message in your message list
- Open the message
- Click the 'Message Source' link (in between 'black list' and 'save as')
- Copy and paste the entire contents of the message source window into your trouble ticket.
- Locate the message in your message list
- Open the message
- Click the 'All Headers' link (on the left-hand side, near the top)
- Copy and paste the message headers & body into your trouble ticket
- Locate the message in your message list
- Open the message
- Click the 'View Full Header' link (Under the address information)
- Copy and paste the message header into your trouble ticket
- Locate the message in your message list
- double-click the message to open it in it's own window
- from the 'View' menu, select 'Options ...'
- Copy and paste the message headers from the bottom frame into your trouble ticket
