Its been flakey for the last week or so. Mostly I'm seeing SMTP outages. Some slow http loads. Are we over-extended on this server?

Current status from cPanel show exim is down and root tree is 82%:

Describe me problem exactly pelase 'cause there is no even some domain name that have problems at your opinion.

smtp is down. I can't send email about half the time. Why is smtp going up and down?

It was up for awhile but now down again. Again, from the cPanel status board:
exim (exim-4.24-30_cpanel_stmpcontrol_antivirus_rewrite_mailman2) failed

I figure that has something to do with it, but I'm no sysadmin.

As I can see SMTP is running.
If you have some problems I need to know the exact mailbox name and password for it to check.

When you checked it, I'm sure it was. My point was that it has been up and down quite a bit. Check the logs, please.

One of customers hosted on that server sent spam from the server. It caused the server overloads and outages. We've found him and closed all his accounts.
