My domain name used to be registered with REGISTER.com but then I re-registered it with HOSTONY why would it be still under REGISTER.com ? I thought it was all sorted out already ...
If customer check 'New domain' we register a new domain for a customer.
Otherwise we transfer the domain on customer request only.
We've initiated a transfer of your domain to our domain registrar but I afraid that the domain is in redemption status. Anyways you should contact register.com and check

Different domain registrars have the different procedures of domain revival.
You need to contact register.com and ask them about it.

Could you try transfering my RAFY.NET domain to your domain registrar again? I'
ve contacted register.com and asked them to 'revive' my domain.

Yes you or somebody else can not transfer expired domain.
