Okay, my server has been down almost daily, sometimes more then once a day for the last 3 weeks. The servers has massive lag spikes for 10 minutes here and there. You guys promised 99% uptime. Well I promise you, if you look at your server logs my website would of not been up nearly 95% of the time.

www.wow-secrets.com is main domain
most popular is www.praetorian-guards.com

Please respond ASAP or ill be contacting Hostony viva phone if this dose not work. If we cannot fix this problem, I'll be forced be contacting my lawyer. Sorry to bring it to this but damn this is unacceptable for my servers. I run business and I've lost more money then gained now with all the refunds I have had to give out, especially with all my emails deleted out of no where, and so many other bugs on the server.

Thank you
-Narc.

Narc,

if you'll login to the shell on the server and will run uptime comman you'll see the following:
QUOTE

root@server21 [/home/natali/logs]# uptime
09:22:47  up 10 days, 10:06,  1 user,  load average: 1.34, 1.77, 2.19

It means that server was not rebooted or down for more than 10 days.

When I ran ping from home I saw the following:
QUOTE

[~]# ping praetorian-guards.com
PING praetorian-guards.com (67.15.36.4) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from server21.fastbighost.com (67.15.36.4): icmp_seq=1 ttl=51 time=30.5 ms

6 packets transmitted, 6 received, 0% packet loss, time 5048ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 30.404/30.551/30.687/0.167 ms

The ping time is very good even for the game server.

I don't see any problem with the server or connectivity at the moment. Ipresume that your problems may cause by your ISP or some hop in the mmidle of the route from your place to the server.

Please, when you next time experience lags submit a ticlket with traceroute and ping.

are you kidding me? I just set up a downtime log on my server, well still setting it up to show you, because i dont know how that thing u showed me works but im 100% sure its been down for everyone at least 4 times this week. But more like 8-15 times. Then there are LONG ping times whitch takes up to 5 min to load a page... everyone gets these lag times daily...

Yeah, ok, so not great pings, not bad, no dropped packets....

The real test though ishow fast the pages load, cause http can be slow and the above can be flying...

So I timed your pages... all times less than a second (good job compressing your graphics and keeping the pages light weight). If you're experiencing bad load times, its somewhere else other than the host http machine...What type of connection do you use? DUN, cable modem, t1? Where are you located, as noted, can be intermediate hop causing issues (or hops).

DUN connections especially have a tendency to act like there are intermittent service interruptions where they don't actually exist because a DUN connection gets saturated so easily the reply packets don't get back & connections time out. Then you refresh the browser and things load fast, of course, becuase part of the info is now cached from the partial previous load.

Such is the internet....
