I assume we can run stuff in our accounts like scripts to backup data, etc. and have many other common UNIX functions like ps, which, etc. etc.?

Also, is command line MySQL available?

Yes you can have shell access and execute Linux utilities like ps etc.

And we have command line MySQL installed too.
