Hello,

This may have been partly answered here: http://forum.hostony.com/index.php?showtopic=268 , but being a total newbie when it comes to stuff like that,
how can I set up web mail access from my site? Is there no (easlier) way to access (link) directly hordemail? Something like "www.mysite.com/hordemail" ???

Thanks in advance.

No, there is not.
You can only access http://yourdomain.com/webmail and choose webmail interface that you want to use.

Thx for your reply.

Guess I have to learn how and where to install this stuff then unsure.gif , and ask support to enable.

you can also install your own webmail system (like squirrelmail or horde).
With your own webmail system you can install it where you want and personalize it.

(like http://wizhosting.com.ar/wmail/ )

Or conversely you can set up a redirect to your webmail of choice from control panel.

Redirect permanent /mail http://yourdomain.com:2095/horde/index.php

I edited all my .htaccess files for my companies domains this way
as the staff gets easily confused blink.gif by long urls. This way they just need
to type http://yourdomain.com/mail to get to horde.

But I'm sure you can do this through CPanel...

Thanks to all for your help!

Artrocity, I found almost the same by myself , except its in secure mode https://yourdomain.com:2096/horde/index.php and brings up the 'incorrect certificate window (site name does not match).

right...It'll do that as yourdomain.com doesnot match serverXX.bigfasthost.com.
or whatever they call your server wink.gif

That reminds me... (more stuff i need to do)

To get rid of that you have to have a SSl certificate for your domain
installed. You can buy one ! or you can have support install a self signed one.

If you are only using https for email this should do fine.
If you are using SSL for ecommerce you should really buy one.

Glad you figured it out ....
