My question is what will be shown in the browser's address bar if I have a domain name registered with goddady.com, in case I don't transfer it to hostony.

For example, the domain name registered at godaddy is abc123.com, when it point to my hostony server, in the browser address bar will still show abc123.com? what about the sub-directories for example xyz.abc123.com?

It'll be abc123.com.
you'll just need to chenge name servers for the domain on godaddy.

What about the sub domains like I mentioned xyz.abc123.com?

You'll be able to create subdomains. And they will be accessible as xyz.abc123.com.
