I just registered with Hostony and have received my verification and site details. When registering I also purchased a completely new domain name through Hostony (no transfer just a new site). I'm quite new at this but I'm guessing the the comments in my confirmation email:
"Please change your DNS records to
ns17.hostony.net xx.xx.xx.xx
ns18.hostony.net xx.xx.xx.xx"

don't apply to newly registered domain names?

If you ordered a new domain name from us all changes will be done automatically.
You just need to wait a little.
