Full Version: A link to CpanelX

I think a link to CpanelX would be good on the homepage or on the site somewhere.
That's just my suggestion though.

Isn't "anyone" going to listen?

We are in the process of designing the feature you want to get .
Danimal
You get a link to it in your introductory email, plus there's about nine thousand threads on this board that tell you the links, why put it on the main site for the world to see?

I don't know, if it were me (and it is), I'd keep something handy like the link to my site's control panel.
Dark Hedgehog
Well, I have looked for them, but, I have more of a bad comprehension and a learning disability.

Meaning, however easy it is for you guys, I struggle and find it hard to learn or comprehend things.

But the reason I asked about the link to Cpanel is because sometimes I go somewhere, I would like to check my email, because I have it in my bookmark on my personal computer rather than friend's computers or somewhere else.

But thanks for the heads up, I was hoping for this.

Why not just make a link on YOUR website to it?

Or even better yet... Make an intranet site linked from your main site, password protected, put all the things in there you might need while out at other places, but don't want the world to have access to. Cpanel Link, Webmail links, network testing scripts, ftp client etc... Link it from a small ¶ on your website and be done with it... you could be cool like that movie, I forget the name...

Well, after reading this, I have come to the conclusion that you forgot your access port number to your cPanel? If that is the case, then there is a simple solution to that.

cPanel, being as great as it is, is very innovative. Therefore, to access the cPanel, just go to www.yourdomain.com/cpanel

Hopefully, you know your domain name, and it's shown that you know you use cPanel, so that should not be too hard to remember at all.

That's all you need, then enter your login info when promted, and viola.

If you want to check your e-mail, as you said before, just go to www.yourdomain.com/webmail

Then, just type in your login info (username must be all lowercase and end in @yourdomain.com), and there is your e-mail smile.gif

If this is not what you were talking about, then meh. Maybe someone who didn't know that can use this info smile.gif

Cheers,
Johnny

These links doesn't work. These features were disabled by cpanel for security reason.

You can access your cpanel and webmail via

cpanel
http://yourdomain.com:2082

or using secure interface:

https://yourdomain.com:2083

webmail

http://yourdomain.com:2095

or using secure interface:

https://yourdomain.com:2096

If anyone want a personal-custom cpanel login page in their own website, here you have the code:

Well, I don't want to get off on the wrong foot with Hostony Representatives, but disabling those links for "security reasons" is really quite pointless, as they are only redirects to your cpanel. /cpanel only redirects you to port 2082, and /webmail only redirects you to port 2095. However, since you do not want this, any user may simply make his/her own redirect to his/her cpanel.

Just go to Redirects in cPanel, and redirect yourdomain.com/yourlinkhere to yourdomain:2082

There's nothing to it, really.

Hope this helps anyone in need,
Johnny
