I want to add a blog to a site. but the only help I can find is using a blog site. I want to be able to just run it off my site, but I am clueless on how to set it up.

another question when building a site, whats the best way to set it up so the client can easily update a "news" type section, without having to get into the html. (example of the "news" section http://www.refillrecords.com/main.htm )

As far as the blog thing goes, you'll need to have _miminum_ content management.

You should look into applications like MoveableType and such for managing blogs. There are also PHP applications, if you prefer, you may want to check at HotScripts.

You can install several blogs through your cpanel if you are on a linux server. Log into cpanel and at the bottom of the page you will see a link for Fantastico. Fantastico has several blogs that you can install including WordPress which is fairly easy to use. You can try them all out and go with the one you like best.
