Full Version: Email attachment size limits

Hello,

Potential customer. I will be setting up a site for a record company. We in the company often send demo material to each other via email. The attachments are usually 3-6mb in size.

I have seen one place in the forums that says the attachment limit is 5mb, but then I saw another thread that said the limit is the same size as your mailbox size (configurable upon the setup of the mailbox).

Which is it?

Oh, and TPTB have also indicated they want to sell records via the site at some point. I noticed there is an automatic 'shopping cart' feature. Sounds to easy. Where do I go for more information on that function?

Thanx.
Serge

for mail you receive - the limit is free space avaliable in your mailbox. BTW you yourself put limits on mailbox size from control panel so mailbox limits can be changed by customer from the control panel.

For mail sent there is no limits. But bare in mind that ISP of your recepient may put some limits on incoming mail.
