I am having frequent timeouts to my SSH connections today sad.gif

How can I tell if the cause is on my side or yours ?
(I'm originating from within a large company network which is nortoriously reliable)

It seems that sometimes my ssh connection dies within 5-10 seconds, other times it might live for a minute or 2. My connection to other external hosts today is not getting killed btw.

Yesterday my connections stayed active for over an hour at a time so something is wacked today.

Thoughts ?

seems to be working now. what was wrong ?

We have changed some SSH server features.

SSH now seems to be completely off for me.

Logging into my account now says:

Shell access is not enabled on your account!
If you need shell access please contact support.

It was working on Friday.

I opened a support ticket and this got re-enabled.

Now if I knew how it got disabled in the first place, I would be happier. (Things like this don't just "happen", someone has to do something to make it occur...)

As I can see SSH is enabled for your account.
If you can't log in still (please try) send me settings for connection that you use to support@hostony.com

If you read my question, I said:

So, Im not asking to get in re-enabled.

Im asking why it got disabled in the first place.

I need to know that my access is going to be stable before my 30 days pass... I must have stable access to my files and this does not seem to be the case over the last 2 weeks.
