I own a domain name and pay for hosting here and currently I want to create another domain name that goes to the same server but to a different secion so say sampledomain.com goes to /root I want sample2domain.com to /root/s/ is there a good way to go about doing this? Thanks a lot for your help for this may not be your pl;ace to even answer but any help would be nice.

This is what will happen when you add-on a domain.
If your main domain is "www.domain1.com", and it is located in /public_html/, then you add-on another domain, "www.domain2.com", then it will be located in /public_html/domain2/.

Yup!
Also, a subdomain will be created... ex: subdomain.maindomain.com .. which will - like user bgp1 pointed out - point to yourroot/public_html/subdomain/
