Hi,

I used fantastico to install a blog onto a subdomain of an addon domain..essentially a sub-subdomain, but for some reason it doesn't work?

its supposed to be at:
http://blog.dyslexitek.com

it doesn't work at:
http://blog.simcitysphere.com (the main domain)

and when I click any links at http://simcitysphere.com/blog it tells me that http://blog.dyslexitek.com doesn't exist.

How can I fix this?

-Thanks
dragonfli
have you tried a redirect?
flamesrock
Nope. Could you explain how I would do that?

-Thanks
dragonfli
just go into cpanel and set-up a new redirect

set it up to redirect traffic from
http://blog.dyslexiteck.com/
to
http://simcitysphere.com/blog/

my spelling may be off for your urls but you get the idea

if cpanel lets you do it it should work.

use this link for info on using c-panel for redirects
cpanel how to

I just noticed there is no folder called blog in http://dyslexitek.com/
Did you set up the subdomain for it?
Normaly the subdomain would have a folder of the same name in it's parent domain, in this case http://dyslexitek.com/blog/ , and in this instance one would have expected the blog files to be placed there.
very strange. blink.gif

If the redirect doesn't work.
Start from scratch by creating in cpanel a sub-domain called blog.dyslexiteck.com
(it should make the folder I spoke of), then move all the files from simcitysphere.com/blog/ into that folder, namely http://dyslexitek.com/blog/
sorry to be so confusing, don't know how else to explain it.
