I would like to set up annon ftp access to a incoming folder and the uploader can not have access to any other directory. Is this possible and how do I set that up?

You just need to go to your Control Panel -> FTP Manager -> FTP Accounts and create additional account that will point to sub directory under your main account.

I have wnyinternet.com and have setup subdomain and ftp accoount by same name (XXXXXX)

I am having trouble ftp'ing into account.......

I need to know the right address for ftp ... i am using ws_ftp ......

Would it be XXXXXX.wnyinternet.com or just wnyinternet.com and account name redirects to right folder????

Also is user id XXXXXXXX r???

the ftp acct name and access does work for site...but not for subdomain... any thoughts

It's a temporary problem with fBSD server. We'll fix it ASAP.
