With many ISPs blocking outgoing smtp (cox cable comes to mind)
is it possible that we could run a smtp server on a differnt port on any
given domain?

My company has a bunch of salesman that work out of their homes
and they have no problems recieving email but many isps are blocking
outgoing 25.

It would cool if i could run an email server on a nonstandard port for them...

Do you want it to be on port 26?
artrocity
26 is fine. anything but 25 !

I don't *need* this for my current domains.
Though it would be nice wink.gif

I'm thinking of moving my employer's websites over here as
our current webhost is more expensive and less responsive to our needs

I asked basically the same question of them and their
answer (24hrs later) was a link to the COX support page !

I don't want to be the exception to the rule and
I do understand the security issues.

But I do think that this could the push that gets me to switch
my workdomains over to hostony...

Done.
You can now use port 26.

Thanks Vanya
That works as expected!

Hostony is the best !
